Configuring External Access to the Knowledge Portal

This feature allows configuring the KDB so that knowledge articles in the Knowledge Portal are visible by users that do not have a login and password.
The environment needs to be with the online environment and with the index functionality (SOLR) activated;
It is necessary to know the URL address to access the Knowledge Portal.
Step 1:
- Access the main menu System > Settings > Knowledge Management (Indexing);
- Click on "Update the index server";
- Click on "Confirm".
Step 2:
- Access the main menu System > Settings > Knowledge Portal > Customize;
- To change the logo and background of the header, it is necessary to respect the size that is presented on the screen;
- In the "Access" field, enable the field "Enable external access" to the option YES;
- Click on "Save".
Step 3:
- Access the main menu Processes > Knowledge Management > Knowledge;
- To create New Knowledge, click on the options button "Operations" and then on "Add new knowledge";
- To edit an existed knowledge, search for the knowledge through the filters available and then click on "Edit";
- Complete the fields available and pay attention to:
- The Privacy field, that should be Public and;
- The Access, that should be External;
- In the Publish field, enable the key to the option YES.
Access the Knowledge Portal and search for some knowledge without logging into 4biz.
