Registering Nagios Generic Manager
The purpose of this functionality is to register and maintain the generic managers, who will be responsible for monitoring the hosts and/or services of the Nagios monitoring tool.
The managers allow the monitoring of all hosts or all services in a generic way, that is, without the need to choose a specific host for monitoring.
The purpose is to simplify the monitoring of an entire network in search of the relevant events for the business.
This feature provides a variety of actions, such as including, changing, and deleting a Nagios generic manager.
Before getting started
It is necessary to register previously:
4biz Event Monitor connection;
Time;
Occurrence category;
Automatic action; and
4biz Inventory connection.
Procedure
- Access the functionality through the main menu Processes > Event Management > Nagios > Nagios Generic Manager;
- To register a new manager, click on "Register Managers" and complete all fields available:
- Name;
- Monitoring Tool - Connection.
- Once select the monitoring tool, complete information for Host Information, Service Information, and Other Information and Insert/Change;
- Click on "Save".
