Registering Type of CI Relationship
The CI relationship type registration is necessary for the Management of Configuration Items (assets and services) in the CMDB. With this registration, it will be possible, from a CI, to define levels of relationship between the CIs.
Before getting started
The user must have access to the Relationship Type Registration screen.
Procedure
- Access the functionality through the menu Processes > Configuration Management > Configuration Item;
- The system will present the Type of registered relationships on the screen with the Name and Status filter;
The user can select the following options:
- New: Allows inserting a new relationship type;
- Edit: Allows you to edit a relationship type;
- Delete: Allows to exclude a relationship type;
Fields
Fields | Description |

Status (*) | Indicates availability for use: Active/Inactive |
Position(*) | Define, in the map design, where the cardinality of the configuration item will be:

Actions
Action | Description |

Save | Inserts/Changes the type of relationship. |
Clear | Returns the registration fields to their default state. |
⚠ Attention!
If a Relationship Type is being used in a Map drawing, the system will not allow editing of the "Same Level" position.
✅ Rule: Registration - The user who performed the registration will always be registered, as well as the date, and time of the creation of the relationship type.
