accessing services accessing services to access services , follow these steps open the my desk application from the application menu click on settings in the top menu in the side menu, click on portfolios select a portfolio from the list to view the services linked to it a list of services is presented service list service list each service is identified by icon; service name; description; number of activities registered under that service gear button for editing the service search services you can also search by service name using the search bar located in the upper left corner see the example in the animation below filter services the list has a filter with two options linked; unlinked creating a new service creating a new service to create a new service , follow these steps click on the new service button it is located on the right side of the screen or at the bottom center if it's the first service being created a new window will appear on the right side of the screen fill in the following details icon – choose an icon from the database you can browse by category or search by typing the name name – enter a short name for your new service description – provide a brief description of what the service does service type – select from the dropdown menu between request and incident cancel/save – click save to create the service or cancel to return to the list edit a service to edit a service, follow the steps below click the gear button located in the upper right corner of the service block; a window will appear on the right side of the screen edit the desired information icon choose a new icon; name give a new name or change the existing one; description change or create a new description; cancel/save click save to save the changes, or cancel to return to the list delete a service delete a service to delete a service, follow the steps below click the gear icon located in the upper right corner of the service block; a window will appear on the right side of the screen click the trash can icon in the upper right corner of the window; a message will appear asking if you are sure about the deletion, as this action cannot be undone; click delete ; a confirmation message will appear at the top of the screen
